The Haunting of Hickory Ridge Event to Take Place on October 29th

  • The Haunting of Hickory Ridge Event to Take Place on October 29th

Have you already visited your local pumpkin patch and ran through a corn maze this month? Then you are probably ready for something new and different to celebrate Halloween 2016. Check out the Haunting of Hickory Ridge event on October 29th at the Hickory Ridge Museum. This unique evening is an opportunity to travel back in time to see what Hallows' Eve was like during the 18th century in the High Country.

Hickory Ridge Living History Museum was created in 1980 to foster a better understanding of the life of the settlers. The museum recreates the atmosphere of a small mountain community around the time of the Revolutionary War.

This special “haunting tour” includes visiting the museum’s historic cabins after dark. Throughout this fun-filled evening you you’ll have the chance to participate in 18th century Halloween traditions, hear Native American ghost stories, and learn the rich, haunted history of Boone and the surrounding area.

The grand finale of the evening will be marked by Granite Falls paranormal investigators (ghost hunters!) who will discuss the spooky discoveries they’ve made during their ongoing study at the museum.

This event, which is recommended for ages 16 and up, is extremely popular, so call to book your space soon. To make a reservation call: 828-264-2120
