Everhart has said that one of the main reasons he liked operating Ashe County Cheese was the location of the plant because it is such a pretty area, and in his opinion "as pretty as anywhere in the country" as far as he is concerned. Everhart has also had nothing but praise for the school system his children have attended here and the people that made his family feel right at home from the start.
