About the featured artist Will Easter:

Currently a resident of Boone, NC, Will Easter was born in the Sauratown Mountain Range of Western North Carolina.

Will grew up working and playing hard in this Sauratown region, and inherited from both his Father and Grandfather at a young age a deep love of music, nature, the land, and the river. This environment gifted Will with an earnest and genuine appreciation for his unique home that manifests in Will’s songs. Notably, Will also inherited from both his Grandfather and Father two classic Martin D-28 guitars, which have become not heirlooms but old friends that Will gladly hauls today in their original blue cases to each performance.

When hearing Will’s original and carefully crafted songs, one is imbued with a sense of his heartfelt hardworking North Carolinian earthen lyrics that reveal stories of love, of love lost, and the singers own unique pain of human progression. As a music lover, Will has big ears for many genres, but is primarily focused on performing his own original "Sauratown Mountains Folk Sound", which some fans have referred to as “Grunge Grass”.

When listened to closely, Will’s outside influences permeate the ear and reflect a love and deep appreciation for artists such as John Prine, American Aquarium, The Major Sevens, the Avett Brothers and Sturgill Simpson. Mr. Easter is currently playing at venues across the triad and North Western North Carolina, while finishing his degree at Appalachian State University. In recent years he has toured performing at local regional festivals across the state including Carolina in the Fall, the Stokes County Stomp, and Friend Fest, which provided opportunities to collaborate live on stage with artists such as Rhonda Vincent and the Kruger Brothers.
