Painting on Glass with Kelly Cameron

On April 6th, we will recycle a wine bottle to create a “Starry, Starry Night” painting with glass specific painting medium. The end product will cure at the Art School for 24 hours and then be oven-fired. Your finished art will be available for pick-up 3-4 days after the class is held. All materials will be provided, including the Terracotta Plant Nanny Watering Stake. Either bring your own wine bottle or chose from those provided. Once you take this class you will be able to venture out on your own and paint more glass – a great Christmas gift or any gift idea. Glass painting is so much fun!

Class Level: Beginners, all levels, age 14+

Rug Hooking with Cheryl Roberts

All Levels
We will create 12”x12” quilt squares for this class using materials provided by the teacher. We will use wool strips, ribbon, yarn and nylon for this project. You will provide the quilt block pattern of your choosing and will transfer it to the linen backing. We will cut up our wool using a stripping machine and proceed to pull loops up through the backing with a hook. We will learn several techniques of hooking so that even raw beginners can hook in this class.

Hooking takes time so we will probably not finish the whole square but you can finish at home. We will go over the finishing process for a pillow, a mat or a small bag. You will learn how to put colors together and hook in different ways to create your own unique hooked piece.

Materials List:
frame (a quilting hoop 14” in diameter works well)
hook (hooks for sale for $10)
