Come check out the first annual craft beer and wine tasting festival in downtown West Jefferson! This event celebrates the talented brewers and vintners in the northwest North Carolina region with a focus on the process of creating craft beer and wine. A percentage of the proceeds will go to support "Shoes for Kids" a local organization that provides shoes for children in need.
The event will also incorporate downtown West Jefferson businesses, through collaboration with the West Jefferson business association.
For those you are not in the know, Ashe County is a beautiful community tucked in the Blue Ridge Mountains in northwestern North Carolina, near the borders of Tennessee and Virginia. This active mountain community has something for everyone! From hiking, fishing, floating on the New River to golf, shopping, antiquing, or gallery hopping; there is always something to do in Ashe County.
The historic town of West Jefferson, located in the heart of Ashe County, has an energetic downtown community and may be best known for the many art galleries and studios featuring local and regional artists, as well as, the numerous murals that can be found throughout the downtown area. In addition to an active art community downtown West Jefferson also features a wide variety of shops offering a unique variety of products.
Transportation to and from the event from local hotels and designated areas, if needed, will be provided by High Country Tours for a small fee.
**This event will be held rain or shine! The hope is for sunshine but bring a raincoat just in case.**
**This is a 21 and over event. ID's will be check upon entry. Persons underage or without proper ID will denied entry without refund.**
