Current owner is an architect and careful consideration went into planning the driveway up through the property to the proposed build site at the top to give a feeling of seclusion and where, if you built a few feet above the grade of the proposed driveway, you could capture the great view to the east, to the valley below and on to the ridge line of the Blue Ridge Parkway farther off to the east. The eastern side would therefore allow for the morning sun to penetrate the inside living space in the summer. Then in the evening the sun would be shining on the mountains to the east. The location below the ridge line to the west would block the cold winter winds that typically come in from the west and provide privacy from the houses above. Not ready to build right away?
