Come spend a weekend in Downtown West Jefferson for the annual Christmas in July Festival, a beloved event for which the High Country is well known!

Costumes, giant puppets, banners, instruments and more are part of the annual Todd Liberty Parade on July 4th. All are invited to walk in this one-of-a-kind parade. Starting at 11:00, it meanders through downtown Todd ending at Cook Park where The King Bees will hold a concert.

Through June 7th, a series of 20-minute walks will highlight Grandfather Mountain's rhododendron species and blooms.

The 13th annual Backstreet Concert Series is BACK for the summer season. Ten concerts will take place on the Backstreet from May 31st to August 30th. Backstreet Park is a beautiful pocket park located on the Backstreet in historic downtown West Jefferson. Complete with a performing stage, this is the home for the free-admission Summer Concert Series presented by the West Jefferson Community Partnership and sponsored by the Tourism Development Authority:

On Saturday, June 8th the Museum of Ashe County History will celebrate the end of school with a Kids Day from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Bounce houses, hands on activities, and a kids train are all part of the fun.
