Beer lovers check it out! Stomp and Brew is a craft beer and wine tasting festival to be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 in downtown West Jefferson. This festival will celebrate talented brewers and vintners of craft beer and wine as well as provide education on the art and science of craft brewing. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Shoes for Kids – a local charity that provides new shoes for kids in need.

From April 10th through April 14th, A production of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night's Dream will take place at the Valborg Theatre, Appalachian State University’s main stage. Acoustically pristine, the Valborg offers great sightlines and a wonderful intimacy for both performers and audience.

On March 14th, Hatchet Coffee in Boone presents an all ages, pay what you can live music series featuring singer-songwriters "in the round." Hatchet Coffee will be transformed into a listening room and feature 4 musicians who will share stories, sentiments, and inspiration in between original song performances. The performers for the evening include: Alexa Rose, Earleine, Shay Martin Lovette, and Meris Gantt.
