Dance aficionados take note: the talented dancers of Ailey II, renowned for captivating audiences and translating their strength and agility into powerful performances, are coming to the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts in Boone on October 26th.

Celebrate the “3rd Annual Halloween at the Market” at the Watauga County Farmers' Market. On Saturday, October 28th, stop by the Farmers' Market in Boone between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM for Halloween festivities including a costume competition, a dessert walk, a photo booth, and face painting. Local market vendors will be on sight with seasonal goods – apples, pumpkins and more-- for purchase.

It’s Halloween season and here’s a chance to experience Boone's immersive, first-ever haunted trails!!

Like an old-fashioned Country Fair, the Festival of the Frescoes at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church Mission House offers music, a parish bakery with home-baked goodies, a silent auction and activities for kids. You’ll have a chance to visit the popular “Granny’s Attic,” a rummage sale of previously owned treasures at bargain prices.

Come celebrate heritage lifeways at the Museum of Ashe County. You’ll witness demonstrations of a number of different skills such as spinning, weaving, apple cider making, and more. On display you’ll see antique tractors and an antique steam engine. Special programming for kids includes arts and crafts, a hay maze and train rides. There will also be traditional music on the stage.
