The 30th annual Christmas in July Festival is fast approaching! This well-known and celebrated festival began as a way to promote the local Christmas tree industry. Today, Ashe County is considered the largest producer of Christmas trees in the nation!

Summer is a great time to check out the stalactites and stalagmites of Linville Caverns, North Carolina’s only publicly accessible caverns which have been on official public view since the late 1930s.

Celebrate summer by attending the Summer Concert series at Blowing Rock Arts Museum (BRAM), or one of their many other exciting events! Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats: the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka’s rules in the factory… or suffer the consequences.
