Symphony of the Mountain’s performance by the Lake at Chetola Resort has become a favorite event of the summer season. This year’s concert theme is Oh The Places You’ll Go.

After two years of absence, The Ashe County Piecemakers Quilt Guild will be holding a Quilt Fair. The event will be held at Westwood Elementary School on Friday, July 21st, 10am-6pm and Saturday, July 22nd, 10am-4pm. A small quilt auction will take place, and quilts as well as other handmade items will be on sale.

If you haven’t checked it out before, the annual Blowing Rock Art in the Park, host to 90 artisans at each show, features some of the best local and regional artists and craftspeople around. Created in 1962, this seasonal event, which runs once a month now through October, showcases handcrafted jewelry, pottery, fiber, glass, photography, painting and more!

Check out the array of events at the annual July 4th Celebration at Ashe County Park to take place this coming Tuesday. The celebration starts at 3:00pm, when the gates to Ashe County Park will open to the public and the Ashe County Parks & Recreation Staff will begin parking vehicles at that time. A shuttle bus will run from the new courthouse parking lot beginning at 3:30 PM and will run again at the end of the fireworks show.

The 2017 Todd Liberty Parade is back! It will meander through downtown Todd ending at Cook Park with live music by the King Bees, dancing and food.

Celebrate July 4th in Blowing Rock with games, music, and fun! You can enjoy free entertainment on the weekend of July 1st and July 2nd, plus a classic small-town Main Street parade.
