Halloween season family fun is about to begin at Tweetsie Railroad Wild West Theme Park in Blowing Rock. From September 23rd - October 29th the park will be hosting its annual Ghost Train® Halloween Festival on Friday and Saturday nights. Halloween fans of all ages will be able to enjoy scary yet safe fun at the park. Those who are brave enough to ride the Ghost Train will experience thrills as the train speeds through the Blue Ridge Mountains. You’ll travel back in time to the Great Train Wreck of 1913 ghosts and spirits from the old railways pop up at every corner.While some attractions are recommended for adults and older children, there’s plenty of stuff for young kids, too.

You’ll be able to browse for treasures such as vintage furniture, coins, glassware, quilts, refurbished antiques, pottery, primitives, silver vintage signage, and much, much more. Besides hunting for collectibles, you’ll be able to enjoy live music provided by an array of bluegrass and other types of regional and local acts, so you may want to bring a chair! Different food venders will be offering kettle corn, funnel cakes and other fun fare. The Jefferson Farmers Market will also be participating in the event, along with local businesses and restaurants. What a great way to enjoy an early fall weekend!
